The MBA Admissions Process

The Lisbon MBA has a rolling admissions process. In practical terms, this means that applications are received throughout the year and our Admissions Team closely reviews each application.

The admission process has the following steps:

What is required to submit your MBA application

Completing The Lisbon MBA International full-time application requires time and effort on your part. Plan ahead to make sure your application is complete by the deadline.

Candidates must fill out the online form which includes:

• 3 written essays
• 1 video-essay
• 2 references
• Updated CV in English
• Upload of University Transcripts
• Upload of Admisson test score report
• Upload of English test score report
• Updated CV in English
• Connection with LinkedIn profile
• Application fee payment

Candidates must provide contact information of two different people who know them well in a professional context, preferably line managers or customers and suppliers (avoid asking family members or friends).

The reference request process is done through the online application form. After filling in the referees’ data, applicants need to click on the “send reference request” button and the referees will receive an e-mail with a link to a brief survey. After this, please make sure each referee received the email as sometimes they go straight to spam folders.

Be aware that you won’t be able to submit your application without the referees’ answers. Please do not submit letters of recommendation separately, as they will not be considered.

Candidates must take the GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) or the GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) and upload the score report on our application form.

These tests are an important part of the admission process as they assess the applicants’ analytical ability, reasoning skills and aptitude to academically thrive during the MBA.

If you wish us to automatically receive your test score, please choose The Lisbon MBA International full-time program from Católica-Lisbon or Nova SBE on the day of the test (you are required to choose one of the schools, even though this is a joint program).

Candidates for whom English is not their native language must submit a standardized English Language Test score. Here is a list of the tests we accept.

If you wish us to automatically receive your test score, please choose The Lisbon MBA International full-time program from Católica-Lisbon or Nova SBE on the day of the test (you are required to choose one of the schools, even though this is a joint program). If you’re taking the TOEFL and you are requested a code to send us the score, please take note: 7258.

Automatic Waivers:

– be a national of an English-speaking country;
– present a full university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) during which all courses were taught exclusively in English;
– worked full-time in an English-speaking country for more than 1 year;

If you believe you should be waived for any other reason not specified above, please submit this waiver request form and we will give you feedback in approximately two weeks.

Please note that your English communication skills will be assessed during the interview and throughout the entire admission process. We reserve the right to request an English test to be taken at any time.

Note: For TOEIC, you need to submit score results for all parts: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing.

You must upload the official transcripts issued by the academic institution where you received your bachelor’s degree in our application form. Those transcripts should mention the degree awarded, the average score and the course conclusion date, as well as be duly signed and stamped.

Whatever the template you use, please make sure you share a version in English with no more than 2 pages.

An application fee is required in order to submit your application and should be paid via Paypal.
