Internships

The Summer Internship is core to our mission to deliver leadership talent to the market by ensuring that our participants apply the latest in international business training to companies and businesses, working on projects that deliver real value to their companies. We believe in the importance of practical experience and this mindset is integrated throughout the entire MBA program from the Consulting Cases, the MIT Immersion, the Summer Internship to our leadership development and career management approaches.
Employers who participate in our summer internship program are able to leverage the prior professional experience and aptitudes of our participants. This strategic partnership can help an employer stay ahead of their competitors by enabling them to integrate a stream of new ideas, cultural competencies, and business practices into the workplace.

Guide for Employers:

All Lisbon MBA International Program participants are required to complete a challenging internship that allows them to leverage their international business skills to support a company’s initiatives/projects. The internship lasts 8 weeks and companies are encouraged to support projects in any of their business locations.

Benefits of Hiring an Intern:

MBA Interns bring prior work experience, professionalism, and enthusiasm to your company and provide a valuable and reliable source of talent. They are motivated to learn about your company and bring new skills and tools to complete projects. MBA Interns hired as full time employees upon graduation are already familiar with your company. This accelerates employee performance, productivity, and engagement with internal/external stakeholders.

Testimonials:

“Banco Espírito Santo had the privilege to be part of the summer internship program for The Lisbon MBA 2009, and to recruit some of those interns for fulltime jobs. It was the perfect match between your students ´ ambition for an International Career and the International Expansion strategy of BES. In your students, we found the skills to make the difference in an Organisation: technical skills but also commitment and the correct mind set to International Careers that can easily adapt to different cultures and countries.”

“For us the Summer Internship Programme is a strong tool to prepare the future recruitment of diverse talents; as well as for students to gain an opportunity to get into a real and concrete challenging business project. Short period of time but true experimentation of a business life or a new professional track!”
