People analytics is a data-driven approach to managing people at work. Today, business leaders can make strategic decisions about their people based on the systematic analysis of data. During this interactive session, Professor Castilla will discuss a number of strategies used to recruit and retain top talent, and illustrate how these strategies are used at cutting-edge organizations. In doing so, he will summarize some of his research projects involving key people-related strategic issues, such as recruiting and hiring, performance evaluation, promotion, and compensation. He will also stress the advantages of collaborating in research projects with faculty.
