Tourism Innovation Competition is back with a 2nd Edition:

Enhacing Experience in Monuments and Museums through Digital.

How can digital improve the touristic experience and improve the value of cultural patrimony?

In this edition, the competition organized by the The Lisbon MBA with the support of Turismo de Portugal aims to identify, through digital, innovative methods or strategies that allow the improvement of the touristic experience on monuments and museums. The ideas presented will contribute to the revitalization and attraction of this cultural patrimony, as well as the awareness brought to the same through a mechanism of co-creation of content and promotion. The effectiveness of implementation and application of the ideas in a global scale will be valued!

The competition integrates the following phases:

  1. From September 27th of 2016 until February 14th of 2017: Proposals’ Submission;
  2. From February 15th to February 28th of 2017: Selection of three winning proposals and exclusion of those which don’t meet the Regulation;
  3. March 23th: The Proposals will be presented in an international conference that will take place in Lisbon, where the winner will be announced and the prizes awarded.

The winner of the competition will be awarded with a support in funding (up to 100.000€) from Portugal Ventures regarding the implementation of the idea proposed in Portugal. The remaining two finalists will receive a money prize of 2.500 Euros each.
